Yu Qijun

Mr. Yu Qijun is a professor and doctoral supervisor of South China University of Technology, a distinguished professor of the Pearl River Scholar Program in Guangdong Province, a member of the Teaching Steering Committee of Materials Majors in Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, an executive director of the Chinese Ceramic Society, and a honorary chairman of the Guangdong Ceramic Society. He has long been engaged in the research of green and low-carbon cement, high-performance concrete, durability of concrete, environmental impact of building materials, and comprehensive utilization of waste. He has undertaken over 50 projects supported by the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Program on Key Basic Research and Development (Program 973), the National High-tech Research and Development Program (Program 863), and the National Natural Science Foundation, as well as projects entrusted by enterprises and public institutions. Prof. Yu has published 400-plus papers, owned 60-plus granted patents, and won 5 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards. His green and low-carbon composite cement preparation technology and cement kiln flue gas desulfurization and denitrification technology have been well promoted and applied on a large scale, producing remarkable social and economic benefits
