Antonio Clausi serves as the Global Director of the Cement Competence Center at Heidelberg Materials. He earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Trieste, Italy. Antonio is also a member of the Technical Advisory Board of ECRA (European Cement Research Academy). His duties include overseeing Group Operations performance, Group Improvement Programs, and Capex Projects for Heidelberg Materials.Antonio directs organizational initiatives in Decarbonization and Process Innovation, focusing on developing new technologies for decarbonization such as carbon capture amine-based methods, oxyfuel, hydrogen, calcium looping, kiln electrification, and Leilac. He is also involved in Industry 4.0 developments like advanced automation, expert systems, artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance, and digitalization of production processes.Furthermore, Antonio has experience in strategy review and operating model transformation of multinational cement companies, conducting operations and digital diagnostics studies, and leading enterprise transformation projects. His contributions include participating in the development of AI-based rotary kiln optimization and control solutions, procurement transformation, and Industry 4.0 transformation roadmaps.
